Scott Rohr’s Martial Arts Education
1971-72 Portland, Oregon – Kendo under Seijin Kamegawa
1972 Portland, Oregon – Began learning Taekwondo, Hapkido, Yudo under Choi Tae Hong. Mr. Rohr now holds the rank of 9th degree black belt in taekwondo.
1979, 1980, 1982 US National Taekwondo Championships – (WTF Full contact system) Light-Heavyweight – gold medalist
1979 WTF World Taekwondo Championships – Stuttgart, Germany – Bronze medalist
1980 WTF World Invitational Games – Taipei, China – Silver Medalist
1976-1987 Portland & San Diego – Began Aikijuijitsu under John Clodig and his teacher Don Angier.
1989 – present – Began tutelage under George Dillman, a kyusho-jutsu exponent. Adopted the study and practice of the kata of the Ryukyu Islands. Mr. Rohr now holds the rank of 8th degree black belt under Mr. Dillman.
I have had the privilege on many occasions to attend seminars taught by some of the world’s greatest martial arts instructors; Hidetaka Nishiyama, Wally Jay, Patrick McCarthy, Remy Presas, Bong Soo Han, George Dillman, and Ji Han Jae.
My specialty focus now is on the knockout techniques (Kyusho-jutsu) and stand-up grappling techniques (Tuite-jutsu) of all styles of martial forms.
