Elizabeth has been the Assistant Instructor at Nagare Dojo Aikido School for approximately two years and was recently made the Chief Instructor by the Dojo Cho Charles Cross. She has been practicing Aikido enthusiastically for the past 7 years, and received her 1st Dan Black-belt in February 2006.
Elizabeth’s primary teacher is Charles Cross Sensei. She enjoys the way Aikido practice teaches us about interpersonal relationships and how we related to people, as well as loving the graceful rolling and falling motions in Aikido.
Elizabeth has been training Yang Style Taijiquan for 4 years with Natural Arts Center Instructor Jim Madras and his faithful Taiji Players. Elizabeth practices Push-Hands, the 88 Two-Person Sparring Form, and other two-person work in the Yang Syllabus. Elizabeth says that Taiji practice has really helped her to learn about her body, and to be comfortable in her body and in her space.
