Sigung William Turner has 33 years experience as a martial artist, over 25 years experience teaching the martial arts and 16 years as a law enforcement trainer. He currently holds a 7th degree Black Belt in Kajukenbo, full Instructor Certification in the Suttle Impact Method of Jeet Kune Do and a Black Belt in Kosho Shorei-Ryu Kenpo. He also holds the rank of 3rd Gold Mantis in 8-Step Praying Mantis, a Brown Belt in Hawaiian Kenpo and belts in Chun Kuk Do, Shudokai International Doshinkan and Shotokan Karate. Additionally, Sigung Turner has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and is a nationally recognized and certified instructor in law enforcement weapons and tactics and Integrated Scenario-Based Training. In 2013 he received an Analyst Certification from the Force Science Institute.
For the past 25 years Sigung Turner has developed students from the beginning stages of martial skill to black belt. He has taught at large commercial martial arts schools as well as provided training to private groups of men, women and children of all ages and abilities. For four years, Sigung Turner taught martial arts at a private Christian Academy in Lane County.
Sigung Turner currently teaches law enforcement tactics to U.S. government personnel and national trainers. He was recently detailed to an advanced government training facility in Virginia, where he worked on special projects, which included research into the application of traditional martial methodology to modern weapons and tactics. He continues to teach new and seasoned trainers at facilities in Virginia, Georgia and the Pacific Northwest.
