What is PacMAC?

logo300The Pacific Martial Arts Conference was formed in 2007 by Sensei Alan Best of Best Martial Arts Institute as a place for martial artists from various disciplines to learn from one another in friendship, and to strengthen the martial arts community in the Pacific Northwest.

The Pacific Martial Arts Conference is proud to be a partnering event with the Oregon Asian Celebration which will held February 15 & 16, 2014 at the Lane Events Center in Eugene, Oregon. The Celebration, which began in 1985, draws about 20,000 visitors each year! Since the early 1990’s many of the martial arts schools from the Eugene/Springfield area have demonstrated ¬†their styles on the Martial Arts Stage at the Celebration. The Stage runs virtually non-stop with 7+ hours of demonstrations each day! It was out of the mutual respect and friendships established at the Oregon Asian Celebration that the concept of the Pacific Martial Arts Conference¬†evolved.

Each day of PacMAC consists of a series of 25-minute mini-courses with teachers from a multitude of martial arts. The spirit of cooperation and respect is a great reflection of the spirit of martial arts as participants train together, and learn from one another.

The first day of the 8th Annual Pacific Martial Arts Conference will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014. The second day will be Sunday, April 6, 2014.
