What is PacMAC?
The Pacific Martial Arts Conference was formed in 2007 by Sensei Alan Best of Best Martial Arts Institute as a place for martial artists from various disciplines to learn from one another in friendship, and to strengthen the martial arts community in the Pacific Northwest.
The Pacific Martial Arts Conference is proud to be a partnering event with the Oregon Asian Celebration which was held February 16 & 17, 2013 at the Lane Events Center in Eugene, Oregon. The Celebration, which began in 1985, draws about 20,000 visitors each year! Since the early 1990′s many of the martial arts schools from the Eugene/Springfield area have demonstrated their styles on the Martial Arts Stage at the Celebration. The Stage runs virtually non-stop with 7+ hours of demonstrations each day! It was out of the mutual respect and friendships established at the Oregon Asian Celebration that the concept of the Pacific Martial Arts Conference evolved.
Each day of PacMAC consists of a series of 25-minute mini-courses with teachers of a multitude of martial arts. The spirit of cooperation and respect is a great reflection of the spirit of martial arts as participants train together, and learn from one another.
The final day of the 7th Annual Pacific Martial Arts Conference will be held Sunday, April 7, 2013.
