Colin Davey

Colin Davey has been training in the martial arts since 1979. He holds a 7th degree black belt in Wun Hop Kuen Do under founder Grand Master Al Dacascos, is a certified Jeet Kune Do instructor under original Bruce Lee student Steve Golden, holds a black belt in Aikido under Sensei Chuck Hauk, and is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu from Northwest Martial Arts. In addition, he has trained extensively under Master David Leung, and Professor Bob Suttles.

His teaching style is also influenced by his training in gymnastics, dance, juggling, piano, and 15 years of work in the field of neuroscience. After a decades-long career in high tech as an engineer and scientist, he has been guest teaching with the 4J school district for two years, and is completing his master’s degree in education. He is the author of Learn Boogie Woogie Piano, and The American Museum of Natural History and How It Got That Way with foreword by Neil deGrasse Tyson.
