About PacMAC
The Pacific Martial Arts Conference, PacMAC, was founded by Sensei Alan Best in 2007 as a place for martial artists from various disciplines to learn from one another in friendship, and strengthen the martial arts community in the Pacific Northwest.
The Pacific Martial Arts Conference is a partnering event with the Oregon Asian Celebration which will be held February 16 & 17, 2008 at the Lane County Convention Center in Eugene, Oregon.
The first conference, February 10, 2007, included a two-hour Aikido Friendship Seminar, and a series of half-hour classes with teachers of aikido, capoeira, kajukenbo, karate, kenpo, tai chi chuan, taekwondo, and other martial arts.
The spirit of cooperation and respect was palpable, and participants learned a wide variety of approaches from one another.
The Second Annual PacMAC is planned for two dates in 2008, January 26 and March 1.
